About this presentation – Working Out On Your Chair
Carrie Anne Blevins led the TEDxManhattanBeach through a series of stretching exercises that are performed while being seated. Many jobs involve spending hours of time seated and yet our bodies evolved with the assumption that we would be moving. To help us all improve our vitality and wellness Carrie Anne shows us a 5 minute stretching routine that we can use at the office.

Carrie Anne Blevins works for Healthways and is the Business Development Lead for Healthways | Blue Zones Vitality City. Daily she helps businesses in the beach cities to improve employee well-being. The Vitality City worksite initiative guides employers to make environmental and policy changes that overtime increase health and reduce costs. She has been with Healthways since 2006 and prior to her current role was successful at developing and managing the SilverSneakers Fitness Program as the Senior Account Manager for the Los Angeles and Orange County areas.
With over fifteen years of Account Management and Business Development, Carrie Anne has a passion for helping people of all ages live healthier lives. In addition to holding a B.A. in Business Management, Carrie Anne has a strong background in physical fitness, dance and choreography, including performing at SuperBowl XXX, the Phoenix Suns basketball games, and Disneyland, as well as with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in The Nutcracker Ballet. She also is a certified Pilates instructor, and in her spare time enjoys teaching Pilates and helping members of the community improve their strength, flexibility and well-being.
Originally from Michigan, Carrie Anne moved to California in 1997 and instantly fell in love with the beach cities community. She lives with her husband and their two young children in beautiful Hermosa Beach.
