About Kaye Gagnon Sherbak

Kaye Gagnon Sherbak is the President and co-founder of Volunteers and Organizations Improving the Community’s Environment (VOICE), a nonprofit environmental education group. The purpose of VOICE is to stimulate community environmental awareness and to motivate individuals and organizations to work cooperatively toward creating a sustainable world. VOICE began its efforts in 1989 by helping the City of Manhattan Beach make their new residential recycling program one of the best in the country. VOICE holds meetings which are open to the public and features speakers who share information about individual and group actions which can improve our environment. VOICE and the City of Manhattan Beach co-host an annual Earthday Concert and Celebration.

Kaye was awarded the prestigious Manhattan Chamber of Commerce Rose and Scroll award in 2008 for her work with VOICE and the Manhattan Tree Canopy Committee. Kaye is a member of the Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden and serves on the Chevron Community Advisor Panel. Kaye is a Manager at Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems in El Segundo, California. She calls herself a freedom fighter by day and a capitalist environmentalist by night.
