About the TEDxYouth Day 2011

TEDxYouthDay is a series of TEDx events that happened all around the world on November 20, 2011 – Universal Children’s Day. These events were designed to empower and inspire young people. TEDx organizers across the globe hosted events for and by young people. These events varied widely in size, format and theme, but they shared a common vision: inspiring curiosity, igniting new ideas, empowering young leaders.

Our Theme

The TEDxYouth@ManhattanBeach event was themed around Connecting and Inspiring.

Date : Sunday November 20, 2011

Age Guidelines

This event was designed for an audience that is currently in 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade. In other words students who are at a High School. Adults were very welcome to attend. Despite some terrible weather (for Los Angeles) we had 150 people attend the event.
